These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lumos Innovations website (the "Site") and the advisory services described on it (the "Services"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you engage Lumos for paid Services, a separate signed Statement of Work ("SOW") and Master Services Agreement govern that engagement; where the two conflict, the signed agreement controls.
Lumos Innovations is a solo practice led by a Cyber AB Registered Practitioner (RP), based in the Dayton defense corridor, Ohio. Lumos provides CMMC and NIST readiness advisory services to organizations in the Defense Industrial Base.
Lumos is not a C3PAO (CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization) and does not issue, certify, or guarantee any CMMC certification, assessment outcome, or SPRS score. All Services are advisory and preparatory in nature. Formal CMMC assessments and certification decisions are made exclusively by accredited C3PAOs and the Cyber AB. Nothing on this Site constitutes legal, financial, or compliance advice on which you should rely without independent verification by your own counsel or contracts team.
Readiness scores, gap analyses, POA&Ms, SSPs, and related deliverables reflect Lumos's professional assessment at the time of delivery. They do not guarantee a passing C3PAO assessment, DoD contract award, or continued eligibility for any contract requiring CMMC certification.

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and the Lumos name and branding — is owned by Lumos Innovations or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and download Site content for personal, non-commercial reference only. No license is granted to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without prior written consent.
Materials offered through the Site's toolkit or lead-magnet downloads (calculators, checklists, templates) are provided for general informational purposes only and are licensed to you for internal use by your organization. They are not a substitute for a formal readiness engagement and may not reflect the most current CMMC requirements.
The Site may link to third-party resources (e.g., DoD, NIST, Cyber AB, scheduling tools). Lumos does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any linked third-party site.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumos Innovations shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content. Liability arising from a paid engagement is governed exclusively by the signed SOW/Master Services Agreement for that engagement.
You agree to indemnify and hold Lumos Innovations harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
Lumos may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last drafted" date above will be updated accordingly.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.
